Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
