The young golfer will have numerous prominent supporters when she makes her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, owns several courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.

"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, Kai has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA standings.

But she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly with youth audiences.

Kai maintains millions of followers and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
